Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic have one major problem

With a tough 2-1 win over Hearts, Celtic made sure that the gap between them and the Rangers remained at four points. With the Glasgow Derby coming up, the Hoops must make sure that it does not end up increasing before the two sides meet at Parkhead on February 2. For that to happen, Ange Postecoglou’s side will have to win their upcoming game against Dundee United while the team from Ibrox have a game against Ross County coming up.

After how tight things have looked in recent times, the Premiership title race could very well end up depending on the results of the three remaining Glasgow Derbies this season.

The Rangers had managed to get a 1-0 win over Celtic earlier on in the season at Ibrox and as a result, Postecoglou’s side would naturally want to get all three points against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team at the start of next month.

Celtic have one major problem though that they need to take care of at this point of time. And that is their inability to finish off games and letting opponents back into it.

We have seen this happen multiple times already over the previous games. Celtic have taken an early lead only for them to concede later on and give the opposition a chance to get some something out of the match, setting up a nervy finish.

It was the case against Hearts, who could have ended up getting a draw despite the fact that Celtic had taken a 2-0 lead in the first-half itself and had the majority of the chances.

Similarly, Celtic’s recent game against Alloa Athletic finished 2-1 under similar circumstances and they had struggled to finish the game off against Hibernian as well although the opposition did not manage to score on that day.

Thus, this has been a consistent issue since the club’s return from the winter break and hopefully they will be able to take care of it as soon as possible.
