On Thursday, Jan. 20, at about 9:30 p.m., a 34-year-old livery driver picked up three people near 3222 Bronx Blvd. in Olinville.

Cops said soon after, the cab arrived at 184th Street and Creston Avenue in Fordham Heights. Authorities said upon arrival, all three passengers — two males and a female — fled without paying the fare.

The cab driver got out of his vehicle and was able to “apprehend” the female, but the two males returned and stabbed the driver multiple times in the chest with a knife, police said.

The three are also accused of robbing the driver of an unknown amount of money after the assault, according to cops.

The driver was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

Police were only able to describe the three suspects as being between 20-30 years old, but also released photos and video of them running away after the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or on the Spanish line at 1-888-57-PISTA.
