Stevens Pass customers offered discount if they renew for next season

SKYKOMISH, Wash. — After more than 200 consumer complaints were filed with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office regarding the maintenance of Stevens Pass Ski Resort in Washington, parent company Vail Resorts is now offering pass holders a discount if they renew next season.

The discount for next season, available solely to skiers and snowboarders who currently have season passes to only Stevens Pass, is as follows:

  • $50 off for seniors
  • $150 off for adults, young adults, and teens ($385 total w/ discount)

According to the Vail email announcing the move, current Epic and Epic Local customers who renew can receive a $150 credit for food, lodging, retail items, lift tickets, rentals or lessons at Stevens Pass.

In the email, Stevens Pass Interim General Manager Tom Fortune said “that Stevens Pass has experienced very unique challenges this season – unique in comparison to any prior season, unique for the region, and unique when compared to the 36 other resorts our company operates throughout North America.”

“We are always listening to our guests and understand their frustrations regarding terrain availability so far this season at Stevens Pass,” a Vail Resorts spokesperson said in a statement.

“We began working on a potential guest loyalty offer for the 22/23 season over the Christmas holiday, as the challenges in the guest experience became apparent. We hope these offers demonstrate that we are committed to honoring the loyalty of our pass holders as we also work to improve the experience at Stevens Pass.”
