Two arrested in connection to fatal Riverside drive-by

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KNX) — Three months after a father was fatally shot while driving with his baby in Riverside, police announced two arrests in connection to the 21-year-old's murder.

Damian Preciado was killed in the drive-by while in the car with his daughter, near the intersection of Tyler Street and Arlington Avenue in Riverside's Arlanza neighborhood, police said. His daughter was not harmed, according to CBS L.A.

Working with the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Office, District Attorney's Office and Riverside Police Department gang unit, investigators were led to Freddy Cebrero and and Francisco Rodriguez.

Police arrested Cebrero, 27, in San Bernardino County's Yucca Valley on Dec. 28. Rodriguez, 23, was arrested on Jan. 11 in Riverside near Van Buren Boulevard and Philbin Avenue. Both were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for murder, conspiracy to commit murder and weapons violations. They are being held without bail.
