Fortnite’s “Eliminate IO forces” Season Quest in Chapter 3 Season 1 rewards you with 25K XP. This Season Quest overlaps neatly with the “Interact with a computer terminal at a Mole Team Drill Site” Season Quest, since the IO guards you’re after are at those drill sites.
Fortnite IO guard locations
Fortnite IO guard locations are near Logjam Lumberyard, Sleepy Sound, and Greasy Grove, as you can see on the Fortnite map below.

More specifically, there are three IO guard locations in Fortnite Chapter 3:
- East-northeast of Logjam Lumberyard in the valley next to the mountain
- East-northeast of Sleepy Sound (and north of Daily Bugle) along the road leading to the coast
- Southeast of Greasy Grove near the river
The IO guards you find at these locations will be hostile immediately, so be prepared. They also act like duos, so you’ll have to kill them before they heal each other.
Interact with a computer terminal at a Mole Team Drill Site

The IO forces you’re looking for in the “Eliminate IO forces” Season Quest are guarding the Mole Team Drill Sites you’ll need for another quest — the “Interact with a computer terminal at a Mole Team Drill Site” Season Quest.
At all three of these locations, there’s a computer terminal to interact with. It’ll send out a radar-like pulse that will reveal chests, items, animals, and — most importantly — other players for a few seconds.
