Peter Benton and Jeanie Boulet are getting A Second Chance at Love: ER vets Eriq La Salle and Gloria Reuben will reunite as the stars of the Hallmark Channel movie, premiering Saturday, March 26 at 8/7c, our sister site Deadline reports.
In the flick, “on the surface, Alicia (played by Nancy Drew‘s Alvina August) and Arnold’s (Jared Joseph) marriage is picture perfect, however, there is something amiss. Arnold is ready to grow their family, but subconsciously Alicia is hesitant to the idea. Rather than face the problem head on, Alicia, the self-proclaimed ‘love doctor,’ immerses herself in her divorced parents Jack (La Salle) and Brenda’s (Reuben) dating affairs by setting them each up on a blind date dating app.”
“We are so excited to reunite Eriq and Gloria in this all-new movie,” Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP of Programming for Crown Media Family Networks, said in a statement. “With 20 years passed since they last appeared on the screen together, this heartwarming romcom will showcase their undeniable chemistry — a treat for viewers ready to see this television reunion. I have never pictured Eriq LaSalle as the romcom type, so it will be interesting. Looking forward to the ER reunion and it will nice to see him in front of the camera instead of behind it.
This is fabulous and so reliable to me.
I’m going through the whole series of ER and re-watching, right now, the 3rd and 4th season and I’ve always loved Eriq La Salle’s Benton and Gloria Ruben’s Jeannie together💞
Both actors bought so much Integrity, Class, Passion, Intellect and a real sense that you knew these two people these characters intimately and personally.
And could empathize and identify with their journey.
Since Eriq did not appear on the ER reunion recently, that Gloria sponsored, so it’s even more exciting to see them gather again.
It was my only disappointments with the ER reunion due to Eriq Lasalle’s absence
It is so phenomenal to see them together, in 1 place sharing the same space, again.
I absolutely love ER. And especially because of these 2 characters that Eric and Gloria Blessed.
I am It’s so grateful for their exceptional talents, skills, on screen realisms and energies.
Together and separately their roles were pivotal to the success of ER.
And it didn’t hurt that both of them are gorgeous!!!
They formed an intricate part of an incredible storyline and an television program.
