Phil Wickham Achieves His First No. 1 on Hot Christian Songs Chart

Singer-songwriter Phil Wickham nets his first No. 1 on Billboard‘s streaming- airplay- and sales-based Hot Christian Songs chart (dated Jan. 29) as “House of the Lord” reaches the summit.
The song completes a 42-week climb to No. 1, while Wickham’s wait for a first leader on the list dated to April 2006, when he initially appeared on the chart. The 37-year-old from San Diego tallied five prior top 10s, including two No. 2-peaking hits.
Wickham co-wrote “House” with Jonathan Smith, who solely produced it.
“I love this song and the joy that it carries,” Wickham tells Billboard. “It’s amazing to see it connecting with so many people.”
In the tracking week ending Jan. 20, the track drew 1.7 million U.S. streams, according to MRC Data.
The song crowned Christian Airplay for four weeks beginning last October, granting Wickham his fourth leader. It ranks at No. 4 on the Jan. 29-dated list with 7.9 million audience impressions.
Meanwhile, “House” completes the second-longest trip to No. 1 on Hot Christian Songs. Last February, Elevation Worship’s “Graves Into Gardens,” featuring Brandon Lake, likewise became each act’s first No. 1 in its 46th week on the chart.
