A power outage that began Wednesday morning in a portion of Leesport is extending into the night.
The power went out about 8:30 a.m. for 92 customers, a Met-Ed spokesman said.
At 1 p.m., 67 customers remained without service but that number increased to 95 later.
A Met-Ed crew is on site replacing a blown transformer at Miriam and Leesport avenues, spokesman Will Boye said.
Crews are working as fast as they can to complete the job so power can be restored to the remaining customers, he said.
