The Conestoga Valley School District in Lancaster County says there is a critical shortage of bus drivers due to COVID-19.The superintendent said the district has been using substitute drivers but is prepared if the situation gets worse.Scenario one involves reorganizing routes if it is short one or two more drivers from where they are now. That may cause minor delays or time changes.In scenario two – if it is short more than two additional drivers – the district will temporarily shift to virtual instruction for middle and high school students. Elementary students would remain in-person, with modifications to start and dismissal times.
