'Ghost Recon Wildlands' Looks So Much Better In Stunning First-Person Mode

Despite being released in 2017, and a sequel coming out in 2019, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands still appears to have its own dedicated fan base. Selling between 2-5 million copies in the five years since release according to SteamSpy, the online multiplayer shooter still has a respectable average of around 4000 concurrent players at peak times.

Which is also roughly the same amount of people who have downloaded the popular mod by Dudes With Keyboards. The mod helpfully describes itself by saying it "Lets you play in first person. Plus some extra features." The Nexus Mods page explains how they created a first-person view throughout the entire game, including for all weapons, vehicles and infantry game play. Essentially if it's in Ghost Recon Wildlands you can now see it through your character's very own peepers.

If you haven't played the base Ghost Recon Wildlands for this mod, then you can check out this trailer to see if it would interest you.

Further on the page they explain that the added features include the ability to swap shoulders and lean while aiming, use point aim, iron sights or optics in first person and removes the out of bounds. There will never be enough first-person shooters in the world, and now with this mod we have been blessed with one more.

The mod also can buff those who are struggling with the game. There are options included such as super accuracy on your weapon, as well as unlocking all the weapons simply by installing it. Equally those playing the Fallen Ghost DLC can add a bit of extra challenge with the ability to erase their AI team mates.

People are already pleased with the changes the dudes have made. In the comments some players have mentioned that they felt disadvantaged by the third-person view and the new mod has given their abilities a boost. Others are simply surprised that Ubisoft didn't implement a first-person mode themselves, but are pleased that there is now one available.
