Mrs. Doretha Pleasant Wade, age 81, born June 18, 1940 in Goudeau, La entered eternal rest on January 18, 2022. She was a resident of Bunkie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery Wade, III, grandchildren Ashlynn J. Wade, Byron O’nes Juneau, II, David A. Wells, Jr., great-grandchild Kyra O’nae Juneau, parents Thurman and Nellie Pleasant, and nine siblings.
She is survived by her children Sheila Wade, Stone Mountain, GA, Jeffery (Sondrea) Wade, IV, Rayne, LA, Erica (Byron) Juneau, Bunkie, LA, Bwana (Morris) Ryans, Decatur, GA, Thurman (Rhonda) Wade, Sr., Bunkie, LA, Chefondolyn (Floyd) Simon, Bunkie, LA, Thesia Germain, Decatur, GA, 12 Grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing for Mrs. Doretha P. Wade will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, 10A-12. Funeral services at 12 noon at Christian Missionary Baptist Church, 509 N. E. Main Street, Bunkie, La, Pastor Earl Williams officiating.
