Man, 25, crashes car on Bronx highway after being fatally shot

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are investigating a collision on a Bronx highway Tuesday night, where a man was found shot to death, according to authorities.

At approximately 9:10 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a vehicle collision on the southbound Bronx River Parkway, in the vicinity of East 177th Street, in the Van Nest neighborhood.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a grey Acura sedan with the driver, 25-year-old Jahwan Joseph who was unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his left side of the torso.

EMS transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
