Rochester Music Hall of Famer and prolific bassist Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Paul Simon) will discuss his new photography book "Images from a Life on the Road," Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Atrium at Eastman Place, as part of the “Books Backstage” series, which kicked off last fall.
The legendary bassist and chapman stick virtuoso will showcase limited-edition photogravure prints and sell autographed copies of his book, which features photos showing a 40-year history of concerts, portraits, and behind-the-scenes stories.
Fellow photographer and concert promoter Steve Czubara will also visit and moderate the event.
Levin is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and a 2018 Rochester Music Hall of Fame inductee.
Levin joined us Wednesday on Good Day Rochester to discuss his new book that looks back on his travels from touring.
The $15 admission fee is a donation to the Rochester Music Hall of Fame. Tickets can be purchased in advance here.
