Monkey illness?: A Pa. woman first on the scene of last week’s monkey truck crash near Danville says she got sick after one of the animals “hissed” in her face. The USDA says it’s looking into the crash.
Firefighter aid: The Middletown Fire Department has started a fundraiser for one of its volunteers, injured when a burning home collapsed on him and others. Another fundraiser has been started for a man killed in the home.

More chips: Utz Brands, the 100-year-old Hanover potato chip company, is purchasing two operators to boost its distribution in and around New York City.
New homes: The first of two new apartment buildings in a Lebanon County development has opened. Together, they’ll have more than 200 units.
Cheaper drugs: The billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, has opened an online pharmacy promising affordable prices on prescription meds.

C-c-cold: The high temperature today won’t get close to freezing: It’s supposed to be 25, then dip to 10 overnight. Snow is expected in the region Friday.

More honors: Harrisburg’s Micah Parsons, a former Penn State star, was named the Professional Football Writers of America 2021 Rookie of the Year and 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year. Another Penn Stater joined him on the All-Rookie team.
Olympics ahead: The Winter Olympics is right around the corner: The Games will air starting Feb. 4 from Beijing.
Going hunting: A decades-long trend of declining participation in hunting ended in 2020, when the sport saw an increase fueled largely by the pandemic.
