A recent study from the UK found that drinking wine may reduce the risk of getting COVID-19.

The study found certain types of alcohol could impact how susceptible a person is to getting COVID-19.

According to the study, people who drank red wine, white wine and champagne were less likely to get COVID-19. But those who drank beer and liquor were more likely to become sick.

Researchers believe wine protected more against COVID-19 because of its other health benefits  like decreasing blood pressure and reducing inflammation.
