'Grown-ish' Season 4B Release Date: What Will Happen and How Many Episodes Are There?

After five months off the air, Grown-ish Season 4 Part 2 is finally returning to Freeform.

Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi) is back alongside her college friends as Grown-ish picks up the story from the events of the last episode "You Beat Me to the Punch" which aired on September 2, 2021.

Grown-ish started life as one of the spin-offs from the popular sitcom Black-ish but it has developed a strong following of its own. The show has started its own tradition of splitting up each season into two parts too. Here's how and when you can catch the second part of Season 4.

When and where to watch Grown-ish Season 4 Part 2

Grown-ish returns to our screens on Thursday, January 27, 2022 on Freeform at 10 p.m. PT and 9 p.m. CT.

It'll also be available to watch on the Freeform website and on Hulu.

Grown-ish Season 4 Recap

Zoey and Aaron (Trevor Jackson), aka #TeamZaaron, were very much on the rocks in the latest episode of Grown-ish. He'd just punched Luca (Luka Sabbat) at a party and stormed out too fast for Zoey to catch up with him.

Zoey had just accepted a job from Luca which frustrated Aaron for some reason. When Zoey went searching for him, she turned up at his apartment but he wasn't there. She did find a certificate from Charlie which meant she had completed the internship, which explained Aaron's overreaction to Lucas' offer.

The couple have taken viewers on a real roller coaster of emotions across the four seasons so far, including a marriage and divorce. The "will they, won't they" dynamic looks set to continue in the second part of the season as the couple have a lot of issues to work through.

What happens in Season 4 Part 2?

The cast of Grown-ish are approaching graduation, which means they have a lot of decisions to make about their lives.

The winter premiere trailer implies Zoe will have to choose whether to pursue her career in New York with Lucas or follow Aaron to South Africa. We'll also get cameos from Black-ish characters Dre (Anthony Anderson), Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross), Pops (Laurence Fishburne) and Ruby (Jenifer Lewis).

New episodes of Grown-ish air on Freeform every Thursday and will also be available to watch on Hulu.
