'Our Beloved Summer' Actress Noh Jung Ui Reveals TWICE Sana Influenced NJ's Makeup Style

Noh Jung Ui, who starred in "Our Beloved Summer," confessed that TWICE Sana was the makeup reference for her role as top idol in the hit SBS drama.

On Jan. 26, the rising actress sat down for an interview with Korean media outlet OSEN. In particular, she catapulted fame for her perfect portrayal of NJ, a top idol for the recently-concluded SBS drama "Our Beloved Summer." 

In the interview, Noh Jung Ui mentioned global K-pop star TWICE Sana as she talked about her role as NJ.

"It was my first time bleaching, so it was so awkward and I was surprised every time I looked in the mirror," Noh Jung Ui confessed.

During the drama broadcast, which premiered on Dec. 6 last year and ended on Jan. 25, a lot of viewers noticed her resemblance to TWICE Sana. ONCEs and drama fans highlighted how their "iconic" blonde hair is similar to the "Scientist" singer, as well ass her overall look.

In response, Noh Jung Ui revealed, "It seems like (NJ) was referred to TWICE Sana, on YouTube, but the makeup artist who was also in charge of TWICE recommended Sana's as the makeup that suits me more."

"But, it would not have looked like Sana completely because of the collaboration of actress makeup and Sana's (idol) makeup," she added.

However, in terms of fashion style, the '01-born actress clarified she didn't specifically copy or refer to anyone while styling NJ.

Meanwhile, TWICE continues to show influence and power as Korea's representative group.

On Jan. 25, TWICE's "The Feels" MV surpassed 200 million views, making it their 16th MV on YouTube to achieve feat following “TT,” “Cheer Up,” “Like OOH-AHH,” “LIKEY,” “Heart Shaker,” “KNOCK KNOCK,” “What Is Love?“, “Signal,” “YES or YES,” “FANCY,” “Dance the Night Away,” “Feel Special,” “MORE & MORE,” “I CAN’T STOP ME,” and “Alcohol-Free.”

As a result, TWICE secured their position as a girl group with the most MVs with 200M views, and becomes the first-ever girl group in YouTube history to have 16 MVs with more than 200 million views.

On the same day, the nine-member group also showed their impact in the U.S. market, having as their third full-length album, “Formula of Love: O+T=<3” ranked No. 9 in its 10th consecutive week on the chart.
