Florence (Ala.) four-star cornerback Jahlil Hurley has picked up an offer from LSU, announcing the news Tuesday on social media.

Hurley is the No. 23 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is second-highest ranked cornerback in the cycle behind only Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Cormani McClain.

The three Alabama players ahead of him the rankings are Montgomery (Ala.) Carver four-star defensive lineman James Smith, Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson four-star safety Tony Mitchell and Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson four-star defensive lineman Peter Woods.

Hurley was originally going to announce his college decision on Jan. 22 but postponed the decision indefinitely a few days before that.

“After careful consideration I have decided to postpone my commitment to a date to be determined,” Jahlil Hurley wrote on Twitter.

Hurley has an On3 NIL Valuation of $19,300. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

He had previously announced a top five of Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, and Texas A&M.

“I got it down to those five schools because they each develop cornerbacks, they know how to get guys to the NFL, and I have been talking to them a lot the last few months,” Hurley told On3’s Chad Simmons.

The Tigers have one commitment in the 2023 cycle in Vivian (La.) North Caddo four-star wide receiver Omarion Miller.
