A New York woman accused of helping her boyfriend torture, disfigure and sexually assault his estranged wife over six agonizing days is now facing attempted murder charges in the case.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office has charged Nicole K. Elmore with first-degree attempted murder, aggravated sexual abuse, assault and unlawful imprisonment in connection with a portion of the violence that allegedly occurred at the Knights Inn motel in Amsterdam, according to a statement from the New York State Police.

Elmore, 35, and her boyfriend, Justin Wilson, 31, were already facing charges of kidnapping, aggravated sexual abuse, and assault after authorities say they kidnapped Wilson’s estranged wife on New Year’s Eve and held her captive for days at Elmore’s trailer in Perth. They allegedly burned her, sodomized her, choked her, and cut off her pinkie finger before primitively trying to cauterize the wound with a flame, The Times Union reports.

Judge Michael Smrtik—who described the allegations as some of the worst he’s ever seen outside of murder cases—set Elmore’s bail at $500,000 cash or $1 million bond at a recent hearing in connection with the most recent charges against her, according to local station WNYT.

Authorities say the violence began around 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 when Wilson allegedly pulled a gun on his wife at a home in Gloversville and forced her into the back of an SUV, according to court documents obtained by the local paper.

Wilson allegedly drove the victim to Elmore’s trailer, where she was severely beaten and forced her into a filthy room she had to share with a pit bull.

Over the next few days, the woman told authorities she was choked until she lost consciousness, whipped, burned and sodomized with a baseball bat.

On the third day, the violence escalated after the woman said Wilson forced her to perform oral sex on him, according to the court records also obtained by Law & Crime. After claiming her attempt wasn’t good enough, authorities allege that Wilson forced her to put her hand on a flat surface and cut off the edge of her right-hand pinky finger. He then tried to stop the bleeding using a flame, according to the allegations.

The woman told authorities the couple also brought her to Knights Inn motel in Amsterdam, where she said she was beaten with a charging cable wrapped around a wrench, sexually assaulted and forced to put her head in a toilet full of urine.

She also accused her alleged captors of trying to drown her in the hot tub while at the motel.

“Throughout the entire time I was with Justin, he was threatening to kill me and told me if I didn’t kill myself, he would kill me,” she later told the New York State Police, according to the court documents. “He beat me, burned me, cut off my finger, sodomized me and I thought I was going to die.”

The victim has alleged that Elmore “was involved with everything” over the course of the six days, WNYT reports.

The 37-year-old woman told authorities that she was finally able to escape after she was placed back in the SUV and Wilson got out to go into a house, leaving her alone in the vehicle, The Daily Gazette reports.

She fled, eventually making her way to grandfather’s home, who took her to a local hospital and called police.

Wilson’s attorney, Stephen Rockmacher, told the local paper he was aware of the gruesome nature of the accusations against his client.

“I certainly hope it’s not true,” he said, adding that he hadn’t discussed the case in detail with his client yet.

Wilson was ordered held without bail after his arraignment in Fulton County. It’s not clear whether he could also face charges in Montgomery County.
