Pa. Senate candidate David McCormick holds campaign rally with Sen. Ted Cruz
Republican Dave McCormick, who is running for a Pennsylvania U.S. Senate seat, held a rally Tuesday in Lehigh County with a former presidential candidate.
McCormick was joined by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for his first rally since entering the race earlier this month.
McCormick attacked the Biden administration for its handling of foreign and economic policy. He and Cruz also talked about the importance of this Senate race.
"If we don't nominate a great Republican, a great conservative, a great America first conservative for this seat, who then wins the general election and goes to Washington to fight, we're going to have bad representation in Washington, and we're going to have a Democratic Senate," McCormick said.
"The Senate is in the balance. I believe if we win in Pennsylvania, we will defeat Chuck Schumer," Cruz said.
McCormick is a Gulf War veteran and recently resigned as CEO of the hedge fund Ridgewater Associates.
He moved back to Pennsylvania, where he was born. Critics say he's an outsider and hasn’t had ties to the state in some time. They also say he has outsourced jobs to China.
