Charity Dingle has fallen out with Mack and Ryan following Irene's death in Emmerdale.
This week has seen Ryan grappling with the tragic news that his adoptive mother Irene had died from a heart problem after a long period of ill health.
Tuesday's episode subsequently opened with Mack suggesting Ryan was "punishing" Charity by not telling the truth about Irene's passing.
"Maybe I am," Ryan admitted.
The news would certainly be traumatising for Charity, since Irene was there assisting on the day of Ryan's birth and would later adopt the child when Charity disappeared.
Ryan ultimately drove off from the house when Charity demanded to know what was going on, leaving Mack to intervene once again.
"It happened suddenly. Irene died," Mack explained to her.
Charity set off to join Ryan at Irene's, but insulted Mack by insisting he not come along. She even declared: "Not you. It's me he needs."
She tried to comfort Ryan by encouraging him to think of the good times with Irene, but got angry with him when she found out he'd known about Irene's death a full 24 hours earlier.
With Ryan planning to come and stay with her, Charity then confronted Mack for not telling her about Irene passing away.
"I bet you loved that, me being the last to know. Well, I was so you've won," Charity hit back, later warning: "Don't try and drive a wedge between me and my son because you will be sorry."
Charity essentially threw Mack out in her rage, though she later found him comforting Ryan once again and warned Ryan not to trust him.
"Whatever's been said between me and you, he doesn't need to hear," Mack fired back. "Frankly, I don't think he cares. Do you know why? He's just lost his mum."
Ryan turned on Charity as well, telling her to "go home" if she couldn't be supportive. He even admitted he'd rather be with Mack than Charity while he grieves.
A hurt Charity listened outside the door as Mack admitted to Ryan that, this time, he wasn't going to go running after her.
"I've had enough," Mack admitted.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
