Halo Infinite crosses 20 million players, biggest launch in franchise history

Today, developer 343 Industries announced that Halo Infinite has crossed 20 million players. Yesterday, The NPD Group that tracks video game sales in North America, said that the first-person shooter was the best-selling Xbox game in December 2021 and the second best-selling game overall, regardless of platform, for the month.

Keep in mind that the 20-million figure takes into account those who played the free-to-play multiplayer component and the paid campaign. No breakdown of how many units the game sold around the world was provided during Microsoft"s quarterly earnings call today.

Halo Infinite is only available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can play the stellar campaign that features Master Chief in a vast open-world through Xbox Game Pass on the platform of your choice.
