Altrusa Club Making Plans For Spring Bazaar
News Release
WARSAW – Altrusa International of Warsaw Inc. initiated another new member at their meeting on Jan. 19.
Connie Daggett was received into membership in a ceremony conducted by membership co-chairs Stephanie Booth and Mary Garrett. Connie was sponsored by Donna Josellis and welcomed into the club by President Vicki Martin.
At that meeting, members also learned about “Ryan’s Case for Smiles” from Shannon Jenks.
The organization is one of the few volunteer organizations solely dedicated to helping sick children cope with the stress of their illnesses and injuries. They provide children with whimsical pillowcases to give them an emotional boost and remind them they are not defined by their illness. The gifts provide a distraction and hope to enhance the emotional well-being of not only the children but their families as well. More information may be found at www.caseforsmiles.org.
Club members are finalizing plans for their March 5 Spring Bazaar to be held at First United Methodist Church Connection Campus at 1692 West Lake Street from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The Bazaar is the fifth bazaar event hosted by the club. Vendor sites are still available by contacting [email protected]. Proceeds from the event benefit Altrusa’s local service projects.
Individuals interested in serving our community are encouraged to attend the club’s next meeting at noon Thursday, Feb. 3. at KREMC, 370 South CR 250E, Warsaw.
