Margot Robbie’s sun-kissed skin and golden hair is held up as the epitome of beach babe beauty, but the Australian actor and producer showed she’s just as adept at French girl style in Paris today. The Chanel ambassador attended the maison’s haute couture spring 2022 show wearing a white boxy blazer dress with heeled boots and a petit Chanel bag. It was the perfect marriage of glowing skin, great hair, and insouciant styling. Think: girl next door meets high fashion.

It’s undeniably the camp we all want to sit in. This is the sort of woman who radiates health without looking like she’s neurotic about taking her spirulina supplements. She’s more surfer than Peloton. Hot yoga over Pilates. When it comes to clothes, she’s into classics with a twist. She wants hard-working investment buys that she can throw on and look instantly pulled together. Zero fuss, thank you very much.

Her accessories are where you’ll see her showing a little more character. Mismatched earrings sourced from far-flung corners of the globe, perhaps. Or a vintage bag sourced during a spontaneous second-hand shopping spree. Robbie’s teeny-tiny chain-strap Chanel bag doubles up as a sweet wristlet and taps into the ongoing trend for palm-sized accessories. No matter that it’s only big enough to house a pack of Tic Tacs when you don’t need to carry round a make-up bag full of beauty essentials. Le sigh.

Robbie’s blazer comes with pockets to enable nonchalant styling.

Margot’s official public appearances are growing increasingly rare as she pools her efforts into her company LuckyChap, but she always turns it on for the cameras when Chanel comes calling. We might not be able to get those honey-colored highlights in winter, but we can certainly start shopping for dinky bags à la Robbie.
