Winter fashion can be boring, to put it bluntly. It's all about layering this time of year, and as such, I'm covering up most of my outfits with long puffers anyway. Pajamas underneath my floor-length coat? Shh, it's a secret I'll never tell. But Blake Lively just reminded me that you can still have fun with cold-weather fashion. Or at the very least, play around with textures and styles to create an outfit that's both snuggly and stylish.

The actress was photographed with husband Ryan Reynolds, taking on a brisk NYC day in style. Reynolds wore his usual: blue khakis, a black button-down, and a puffer coat, topping it off with a face mask and gloves. Lively also wore her usual: I'm talking about the iconic Max Mara teddy coat that she's been wearing for years (and that I'll continue to manifest into my own outerwear collection until it becomes a reality). Max Mara teddy be mine!

She rounded out her look with light blue jeans from my all-time favorite denim brand, DL1961. In fact, she actually wore my holy-grail piece from the label, the Emilie straight leg jeans, a high-rise, vintage-inspired pair that I wear all the time because they're so comfy and fashionable. Various styles from the Emilie range are also on sale right now, minus Lively's pair, which will set you back $199.

Rag & Bone Sloane Boots round out Lively's look with a touch of utilitarian cool. As we know, Rag & Bone is a favorite of Jennifer Aniston, who loves its denim. But recently, celebs have tested out the brand's shoe offerings, like when Jennifer Garner wore practical Rag & Bone boots a few weeks ago, and now Lively.

Everything about Lively's look deserves an A+, from the coat to the jeans to the shoes to her Maskc KN95 face mask. Next time I go on a grocery run, this is the Blake moment I'll be channeling.
