Police seek tips on whereabouts of 'Carl', wanted in stabbing at Detroit gas station

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Investigators are still searching for a suspect wanted in the stabbing of another man at a gas station on Detroit's west side.

The victim, 28, went to the hospital but survived the attack just before noon on Sunday, Jan. 23, in the 16000 block of W. 7 Mile Rd., just west of the Lodge Freeway.

According to police, the suspect got into an argument with the victim inside the gas station.

The suspect then stabbed with victim multiple times with a sharp object and fled the scene, police said.

Although his full name and other details are unknown, police said the suspect in this case goes by the name "Carl."

The DPD on Tuesday announced a $1,000 cash reward in the case, hopes that someone in the public will recognize him and come forward with a tip.

He is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault.
