Dow falls nearly 300 points on losses in Walgreens Boots, Microsoft stocks
Dragged down by declines for shares of Walgreens Boots and Microsoft, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday morning. The Dow (DJIA) was most recently trading 294 points lower (-0.8%), as shares of Walgreens Boots (WBA) and Microsoft (MSFT) have contributed to the blue-chip gauge's intraday decline. Walgreens Boots's shares have fallen $1.35 (2.6%) while those of Microsoft have declined $6.67 (2.3%), combining for a roughly 53-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Goldman Sachs (GS) Honeywell International Inc. (HON) and Dow Inc. (DOW) A $1 move in any of the index's 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
