Featuring archival footage and exclusive interviews with past girlfriends of Hefner’s, a former Director of Playmate Promotion, and various members of Hugh’s staff and inner circle, the series explores the hidden truths behind the famed Playboy empire through a modern-day lens.

HOW MANY EPISODES ARE THERE OF A&E’S SECRETS OF PLAYBOY DOCUMENTARY?
*** UPDATE (3/7/22): The docuseries was originally scheduled to consist of ten installments, but A&E recently ordered two additional one-hour episodes. Hosted by investigative journalist and former Playboy cover model Lisa Guerrero, the new episodes will, per A&E, “continue the conversation around the legacy of Playboy and the complex world Hugh Hefner created.”
The new episodes (Episode 11: “Behind The Girls Next Door” and Episode 12: “The Aftermath”) will air on Monday, March 28 and Monday, April 4, respectively. ***
WHEN IS THE SECRETS OF PLAYBOY EPISODE 3 RELEASE DATE?
The third episode premieres Monday, January 31 at 9:00 p.m. ET on A&E.
