The Dallas Cowboys re-emerged in the 1990s. With Hall of Famers QB Troy Aikman, RB Emmitt Smith, and WR Jerry Rice the 90s Cowboys won three of four Super Bowls (XXVII, XXVIII, and XXX). Former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jay Novacek is scheduled to appear at Lone Star Liquors in San Angelo, the store announced in a Facebook post.

Novacek will meet fans and sign bottles of his new small-batch craft whiskey, Novacek 84 Proof, from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at Lone Star Liquors, 6510 US Highway 67.

Jay Novacek, a five-time Pro Bowl tight end who first played for the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals and then the Dallas Cowboys, signed bottles of his new 84 Proof bourbon whiskey on July 31 at FILO Liquors. With each purchase, he signed his name and number in silver on the bottle. He also posed for photos and at 6-foot-4, he dwarfed most of his fans.

Novacek was a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Cowboys during the 1990s. He earned five straight Pro Bowl trips from 1991-95 before retiring in 1997 due to a back injury.

While he's best known for football, Novacek was also an All-American track and field athlete at the University of Wyoming and even competed in the 1984 US Olympic Trials in the decathlon.
