This Hawks-Sixers Trade Lands Ben Simmons In Atlanta

NBA Analysis Network

The Philadelphia 76ers have started to make plans for NBA All-Star Ben Simmons. Will any of their options pan out? That is yet to be seen. What we do know is that the Atlanta Hawks are one of the teams interested in Simmons and the Sixers have reached out.

The interest from Atlanta comes after a slow start to the season where they have struggled on the defensive end of the floor.

The Hawks are not looking like the same team that made a deep postseason run last year. Atlanta is allowing 111.7 points per game this season, which is 25th in the league.

They like to play high scoring games but the lack of defense has not allowed them to survive this season. This is especially true when the offensive pieces have struggled as well. At this point, all players not named Trae Young should be available for the Hawks.

The Sixers have made it clear that they want a top-25 player in return for Simmons. The asking price has come down a bit but they are still not going to give Simmons away for nothing. The Hawks have a very interesting star to give away if Philly is interested.

Joel Embiid is once again looking like one of the best players in the league while leading the Sixers in the Eastern Conference. This is a team that is ready to win now but have been unable to take that next step toward the conference finals. Here, they could make a deal with the team that sent them home last season.
