The 2022 Farmers Insurance Open will feature one of the more interesting wrinkles of the last few years when it comes to big-time PGA Tour events. Due to the AFC and NFC Championship Games being played Sunday, the Farmers at Torrey Pines will be held from Wednesday to Saturday with Round 3 and Round 4 concluding on CBS.

Former PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Will Zalatoris shares a lead with Jason Day after three rounds of the Farmers Insurance Open. Zalatoris is looking for his first Tour victory and will be in the final group during Saturday's action.

Regardless of the slightly altered schedule -- read more about the unique broadcast here -- it's going to be great. Torrey will feature 12 of the top 20 golfers in the world, including world No. 1 Jon Rahm, who just had his second-worst finish of the last eight months last week when he plummeted to T11 at the American Express. Joining Rahm are Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele, Bryson DeChambeau, Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau, Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas for an event that features nearly as much firepower as the year-opening Tournament of Champions.

Between that field, the category of winners that usually emerge (elite) and what should be a tremendous season debut for CBS (watch for that enhanced always-on leaderboard when coverage kicks in on Friday afternoon), this is one of the must-see events of the first few months of the season.
