Arizona Inmate’s Suit Over Confiscated Snoop Dogg CD Revived

An Arizona inmate who was denied hip-hop CDs and religious books he ordered may proceed with his claims that his free speech and religious rights were violated, the Ninth Circuit said.

Under Arizona policy, inmates aren’t allowed to receive mail that contain nudity, sexual activity, street gangs, martial arts, drug use, weapons, or acts of violence. When Edward Jones ordered CDs by such artists as Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd, they were confiscated under the policy.
