CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) — Cedar Park police arrested a man suspected of stabbing two people Monday.

Paul Dimitri Johnson, 25, faces two charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and another count of aggravated assault by threatening with a deadly weapon, CPPD said in a press release.

Around 4 p.m., CPPD responded to a disturbance call in the 1400 block of Spiderlily View, south of Cedar Park Middle School. Once officers got to the scene, they found two men with multiple stab wounds. After officers treated the men, medics took them both to area hospitals with serious injuries.

According to court documents, Johnson told police he got a strange call where muffled voices told him the men involved were going to kill him and he “only had a matter of time.”

Johnson reportedly told police he rode his bike over to the men’s home to “go for their lives.” He then took a kitchen knife and attempted to stab one man in a bathroom. That man was able to close the bathroom door and climb out the window before Johnson broke the door down.

Johnson then went to another bathroom in the home and forced his way in, finding one of his victims. That man was stabbed several times in the arm and chest, according to court documents. Another man showed up during that time and helped fight Johnson off, records showed, but he was also stabbed.

Johnson then fled and threw the knife, along with blood stained gloves in the gutter on his way down the street, police reported.

CPPD said with the help of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, authorities found Johnson shortly after and took him into custody, where they questioned him.

No attorney information was listed for Johnson in arrest records. He’s currently in Williamson County Jail.
