Backstage Status Update on Xavier Woods Returning to WWE TV
– As previously noted, WWE Superstar Xavier Woods revealed during a recent Attack of the Show livestream for G4 that he suffered a plantaris muscle tear in his calf during a match earlier this month. The injury was expected to put him out for four-to-six weeks. According to a new report by PWInsider, Woods is slated to return to the road for WWE starting this Friday’s edition of WWE SmackDown at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Per the report, Xavier Woods will be back regularly on the road on a regular basis. However, it’s unknown if he’s been cleared to return to the ring yet. He last wrestled on TV on January 7. It appears the injury timeframe would likely put him out for the Royal Rumble.
New Day stablemate Big E did appear on SmackDown last week, and he’ll be back this week to team with Kofi Kingston against Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin.
