For eight generations, the Chevrolet Corvette has provided thrills for generations of Americans. The new 70th Anniversary Edition package celebrates that heritage.
"Passion for Corvette runs deep at Chevrolet and this anniversary is extra special because of the excitement and sales success we've achieved with the eighth generation of America's iconic sportscar," said Steve Majoros, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. "Even after 70 years, Corvette still makes hearts race and kids dream of the open road."
The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 3LT and Z06 3LZ coupe and convertible will each be available with the package, which features unique colors and finishes. The 70th Anniversary Edition Corvettes will be available in either White Pearl Metallic Tri-Coat or Carbon Flash Metallic exterior paint colors with complementing stripes available (Satin Gray with the white and Satin Black with the darker hue).
Distinct wheels with unique center caps commemorate the milestone. Corvette Stingray and Z06 models have different wheels but each is painted in a similar dark finish and has an Edge Red stripe.
Exterior badging commemorating the special edition, Edge Red calipers, a rear bumper protector and trunk cover come standard on the models.
The cabin's two-tone Ceramic leather GT2 or Competition Sport seats are complemented by red contrast stitching, red seatbelts, and sueded mircrofiber seat inserts and steering wheel. The 70th Anniversary Edition logo appears on the on seats, steering wheel and sill plates.
Corvette Coupes with the package get an Edge Red engine cover.
All buyers also receive a custom luggage set with red stitching and the 70th Anniversary Edition logo.
The first retail production eighth-generation Corvette Z06 will be a 70th Anniversary Edition. VIN 001 will cross the auction block at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, with proceeds benefitting Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit focused on building strong, stable and secure military families.
Production of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette will begin later this year. Those not equipped with the 70th Anniversary Edition package will still come with a milestone commemorative plaque located on the center speaker grille.
Pricing for the model has yet to be announced.
