We're still a few months away from the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness but the upcoming film top-billed by Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen already has the rumor mill spinning. According to the latest Doctor Strange 2 rumors, Cruise's career is set to come full circle as he's said to finally play Iron Man, a role he originally turned down over a decade ago. An alleged set photo from the sequel which sees the Mission Impossible star donning a motion caption suit is even spreading like wildfire online, causing mass hysteria within the MCU community.

Now, Moth Culture claims that Cruise's version of Iron Man will be unlike anything we've seen before. According to their scoop, his Tony Stark variant is the most powerful Iron Man in existence and even has possession of three Infinity stones and advanced armor. He is also said to be keeping the head of Thanos that is preserved in a jar of liquid. Now, that's an overpowered Iron Man right there.

Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed yet so take this one with a huge grain of salt. It's also worth noting that several people who saw the initial screenings for Multiverse of Madness have confirmed that Cruise didn't appear in the film so I guess it's just a matter of which source you want to believe. But for all we know, we could be dealing with another Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield situation here.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits cinemas on May 6, 2022.
