Laura Ingraham Does an Impression of Kate McKinnon's 'SNL' Impression Of Her

Fox News' Laura Ingraham spent part of her Monday night show responding to an impression of her by Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon.

The cold open for the most recent episode of the long-running NBC comedy show saw McKinnon play an exaggerated version of Ingraham while speaking to multiple guests and endorsing products.

In her response, Ingraham played snippets of the skit and then proceeded to mimic McKinnon's impersonation of her. Clips of this moment from the show have also begun circulating on social media.

"Now, there's a reason I like Kate McKinnon, I have so much respect for her as a talent," Ingraham said.

"She's so even-handed in her political commentary. But seriously, think of all the low-hanging fruit provided by Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, little Petey B and the squad on a near-daily basis.

"I mean, I think this is kind of comedy gold, don't you?"

The Fox News host then switched back to speaking in her ordinary voice. She joked she would come on SNL and do her own impression of Nancy Pelosi.

"I can do a pretty decent Nancy Pelosi, I like doing Kate McKinnon doing me because she is kind of fun" Ingraham said.

"She is very even-handed in her political humor, people say she doesn't make fun of the other side, I'm sure she does. They are telling me she doesn't? She has to."

She continued: "Here is my deal, I will come in to SNL, I'll do Nancy Pelosi, an impression of Pelosi for free. I am a member of SAG but I will do it for free."

While Ingraham appeared to take McKinnon's portrayal of her in good spirits, Candace Owens, who was also impersonated, was more critical.

Owens was played by Ego Nwodim during the skit and made jokes regarding Martin Luther King and his legacy.

"To quote the only words that Martin Luther King ever said: 'I have a dream.' That's it. End of quote. Nothing about money or jobs or schools, unless you count his tombstone, which says, 'Great job, gang racism over," Nwodim said.

Owens tweeted a screenshot of the comedian playing her with a caption attacking NBC and the show.

"Hey NBC Saturday Night Live, not sure who this woman is you have playing me but I am much better looking than this," Owens wrote on her Twitter.

"Next time just reach out and I'll play myself. That way the skit will actually be funny and America might even tune in to the show again. #SaturdayNightLive."
