Netflix has given subscribers a first look at new comedy show Murderville.
Starring Will Arnett, who is also an executive producer for the show, it combines improv comedy with a scripted murder mystery, creating hilarious results.
The streaming platform shared a first look at the show on Monday, January 24. Here is everything you need to know about the program.
When Is 'Murderville' Out?
Murderville was first announced by Netflix on January 13, when the streaming platform confirmed the show's release date.
It will be coming out on Thursday, February 3, and all the episodes will be made available on the day for viewers to binge-watch to their heart's content.
The procedural-crime comedy will have six episodes in total, with each one featuring a new case for the cast to solve.
Netflix also revealed that Krister Johnson will act as showrunner, while the show has been written by Anna Drezen, Chadd Gindin, Craig Rowin, Jack Kukoda, Marina Cockenberg, Kerry O'Neill, Hannah Levy and Adriana Robles.
What Is 'Murderville' About?
Murderville sees Arnett star as Senior Detective Terry Seattle, who is part of the homicide division and is in charge of investigating several gruesome murders.
Each episode will see Seattle joined by a special celebrity guest, none of whom have any idea what they will have to do because the catch is that the stars aren't given a script and they aren't even aware of what the case is that they will be in charge of.
While everyone else in the cast, including Arnett, is following a script, it's up to the guest star to figure out who the murderer is.
Conan O'Brien, Annie Murphy and Ken Jeong are among the A-list stars set to appear in the comedy series.
Is There a Trailer for 'Murderville'?
Yes, a trailer was revealed for Murderville on Monday, January 24, which gave viewers a closer look at the show's amusing concept.
Teasing the cases involved, the celebrity guests will have to look at chalk outlines, makeshift cadavers and also interview potential witnesses.
It was also evident from the trailer that Arnett will set up the guests by giving them improvisation cues, which they all have to follow.
This will range from Arnett prompting the stars to put on fake accents and giving them increasingly ridiculous names via an earpiece while speaking to potential witnesses about their case.
Murderville will be released globally on Netflix on Thursday, February 3.
