ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The St. Pete Police Department said a missing 9-year-old boy has been found safe.

Police posted pictures of missing Julian Ali on Facebook just before 10 p.m. on Monday. The department said Ali was last seen leaving Bay Vista Elementary at 2:30 p.m.

Ali was found safe shortly after 9 a.m.

SPPD said officers searched through the night for Ali and detectives are searching areas near his relatives' homes. Police said Ali ran away previously in November and again earlier in January, both times he was found by police.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office "Eagle," which is a helicopter, is also part of the search, police said.
