49ers fans could potentially get some help from team legends Frank Gore and Joe Staley, who want to red out SoFI Stadium against the Rams in the NFC Championship game.

For the third time this season, the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will face off against each other.

And for the most meaningful game of this year’s campaign, the 2022 NFC Championship game.

In Week 18, Niners fans blanketed SoFI Stadium, Los Angeles’ home venue, in a sea of red. The overwhelming noise was in favor of San Francisco, forcing Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford to go with a silent count when LA was on offense, quite the turnaround from a home-field advantage.

Los Angeles originally wanted to prevent that from happening again, using Ticketmaster to limit tickets to local-area residents only.

Even though there are plenty of 49ers fans living in the greater Southern California area.

Ticketmaster eventually removed the restrictions, opening up the chance for Niners fans everywhere to attend.

Perhaps with a little help from some friends.

The Rams themselves, or at least some of the players’ families, wanted to create their own campaign of not allowing San Francisco fans into SoFI Stadium.

Yet a couple of 49ers legends, running back Frank Gore and left tackle Joe Staley, are helping out with their own efforts, too, suggesting they’re willing to assist with the purchase of tickets to the NFC Championship game.

Once a Niner, always a Niner, right?

Staley certainly enjoyed his fair share of San Francisco takeovers in Southern California after the Rams moved back to Los Angeles, particularly their first home game at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before the Rams moved into SoFI Stadium in 2020.

Gore might have missed out on that, however he can recall the Niners’ takeover of AT&T Stadium in Week 1 of the 2014 season against the Dallas Cowboys.

While their replies on Twitter are likely to be overwhelmed with requests, it sure can’t hurt to reach out if you’re looking to attend the NFC Championship game.

That game between San Francisco and Los Angeles will kick off on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 6:40 p.m. ET from SoFI Stadium (Levi’s Stadium South).
