Philadelphia fugitive found hiding in classic car: state police

SOMERSET — A Philadelphia fugitive was found sleeping inside a classic car in Somerset Township last week, state police said.

Warren Pleasant, 30, was inside Bowlby Lawn Service’s garage, sleeping in a 1975 Pontiac on Thursday, investigators said.

State police said they discovered Pleasant spent the previous 36 hours in the garage, gaining access through an unlocked side door.

He told police he was “on the run,” and they later learned he had an active bench warrant in Delaware County.

Online court records show Pleasant pleaded guilty to robbery in April for demanding money from a Chase bank.

He was lodged in Somerset County Jail after police took him into custody last week.
