Justin Herbert is spending his free time during the NFL offseason dunking on kids

The NFL season may be over for Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, but he’s still staying active.

Following a brilliant sophomore season with the Chargers where he broke multiple franchise records and was an overtime win short of a playoff berth, Herbert is turning to another arena for offseason activity: Basketball.

But Herbert isn’t just doing basketball workouts or activities. The former Oregon Ducks star is dunking all over kids with no regard.

A video surfaced on Tik Tok that shows Herbert, rocking Ducks gear, schooling a few undersized defenders at the Oregon rec center. They may be undersized because the opponents are some kids and middle schoolers or because Herbert is 6-foot-6 and just makes them look small. Regardless, the video blew up on social media:

Can you imagine the disrespect of Herbert waiving off a screen against you before blowing by and casually throwing down a dunk?

While a lot of fans probably enjoyed watching this, the Chargers (and the people in the video) won’t be too fond of it. NFL teams aren’t the biggest fans of their franchise quarterbacks risking injury on courts like this. Back in 2019, Kansas City zapped Patrick Mahomes from playing pickup basketball after a viral clip. That’ll probably be the same case for Mahomes’ division rival, Herbert.
