With most of the NFL world complaining about the league’s overtime rules following Sunday’s Chiefs vs. Bills game, it would be extremely understandable for Josh Allen to feel similarly.

The Chiefs beat the Bills, 42-36, in an overtime thriller in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday night. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs tied the game with a field goal as time expired in the fourth quarter. Kansas City then got the ball first in overtime and didn’t give it back. Mahomes found Travis Kelce for a game-winning touchdown.

Many in the NFL world believe the league needs to change the overtime rules so both offenses get a true shot.

Allen revealed his true feelings on the NFL’s overtime rules following the game. Surprisingly, he doesn’t have an issue with them.

“The rules are what they are and I can’t complain. … If it was the other way around, we’d be celebrating,” he said.

NFL fans respect the honesty.

“Hard not to like the guy,” one fan tweeted.

“Respect to JA! Wish the other muppets who want the rule changed saw it this way,” another fan tweeted.

“I don’t like the Bills for obvious reasons but I have to admit, it’s almost impossible to not admire Allen. I respect this response a lot,” another fan added.

The Chiefs, meanwhile, are off to the AFC Championship Game, where they will face Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
