The sister of a woman who was murdered at her home Sunday night in Florence said she tried to get an order of a protection against her husband, but wasn't allowed.
29-year-old Taylor McFadden Robinson was found dead Sunday morning in her home on Rice Planters Lane in Florence.
Police have charged her husband, Duncan Allen Robinson, Jr.,31, with murder, first degree burglary and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Anastasia McFadden spoke during Robinson's bond hearing Monday morning at the Florence City Courthouse.
She was a mother, a sister, a successful entrepreneur, my very best friend. The system has failed us. My sister asked for a restraining order and the judge denied it. Please do not allow the system to fail us again,” said McFadden.
ABC15 called the Florence Magistrate's Office to check on the family's claims, but the office told us they can't release information about orders of protections.
A representative from the office called back Tuesday to clarify matters and said they don't handle order of protections. The official said those are handled through Florence County Family Court. We have reached out to family court to learn more information.
The judge denied bond for Robinson on the murder and burglary charges but set bail at $100,000 for the charge of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Even though there is a bond on the weapons charge, because he was denied bond on the murder charge, he must face a Circuit Court judge before having the chance to be released.
Online court records show Robinson has been cited for traffic violations in recent years.
Robinson's family said she was a good person with a kind heart who did all she could to help others through her real estate business.
Her sister, Renee Fulton, said she loved making families' dreams come true and was well on her way to starting more businesses to help others.
She started from the bottom and worked her way up. Very successful. Very proud of her. She worked. As far as doing the real estate, she put it on her back. It was nothing about money for her. She took these families in on her own. And to say their life was cut short in this manner. Something I can never get over my family," said Renee Fulton, Robinson's sister.
Fulton said her sister loved her two little boys and wanted the best for them.
“She was all about her boys. Anybody knew she was all about them. Very involved with them. You know, all over her Facebook page, that’s all you saw. Her and her boys,” said Fulton.
Robinson is scheduled to be autopsied at the Medical University of South Carolina Friday morning.
ABC15 has requested a copy of the 911 call, incident report and any prior reports to Robinson's home.
The Florence Police Department and the Florence County Coroner's Office are investigating.
