FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) -- A Farmington Hills woman who went missing Sunday evening has been located by Michigan State Police.
In an update sent out Monday afternoon, the Farmington Hills Police Department said 83-year-old Sandra Wilson is "safe and in good health."
The department added in a statement: "Farmington Hills Police Chief Jeff King would like to thank the Michigan State Police for their assistance in finding Mrs. Wilson, who has been reunited with her family."
Earlier, police asked for tips to help track down Wilson, was reported last seen by her family in Livonia at around 8 p.m. Sunday, near Newburgh and Schoolcraft Roads, just north of I-96.
Her family called the police Sunday night when they realized that Wilson hadn't made it home. Officials said her family was "very" concerned for her welfare.
It's not clear where the missing woman was located. No further information was released.
