Demon Slayer Season 2 Reveals Interesting Detail About the Mist Hashira

We're loving the latest episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 for a lot of reasons. After all, we got major action as the heroes faced off against Daki and Gyutaro, and even saw the return of fan-favorite Kyojuro Rengoku. Amazingly, Yukaku-hen Episode 8 also revealed some interesting new details about characters we will get to meet in the future. Tengen Uzui has just shared an intriguing detail about the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito!

In Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 15, Gyutaro continued to taunt Tengen Uzui, claiming that the Sound Hashira is the chosen one because of his good looks, three wives, and fighting skills. The assumption makes Uzui hit back at the demon for not knowing about better fighters around the country. Uzui mentions a mysterious warrior in reference to the current Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima then reveals that there is a fighter who became a Hashira after just two months of learning swordsmanship.

The second person Uzui is referring to is Muichiro Tokito, the quiet Mist Hashira who was introduced in the first season of Demon Slayer. Muichiro was portrayed as being distant and forgetful so it's hard to imagine that he is actually a powerful albeit new swordsman. But why is he so reserved and absent-minded? We could learn more about Muichiro in the future.

In the meantime, the big fight continues and it looks like the Demon Slayer Corps could finally defeat Daki and Gyutaro. Will it be an easy win or will the demons turn the tides yet again? We'll find out for sure next week.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 16 is titled Defeating an Upper Rank Demon ("Jogen no Oni o Taoshitara") and takes inspiration from the manga's 88th chapter How to Defeat Them ("Taoshikata"). Yukaku-hen Episode 9 will air on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at 11:15 PM JST.
