Sport shorts: Jamestown skaters bring home honors

Members of the James River Figure Skating Club Competitive Team competed in the 30th Annual Northern Star International Figure Skating Competition, January 14-16 at VFW Arena in East Grand Forks, Minn.

Members of the James River Figure Skating Club Competitive Team competed in the 30th Annual Northern Star International Figure Skating Competition, January 14-16 at VFW Arena in East Grand Forks, Minn. The club's seven competing skaters returned with several medals.

Results are as follows:

Brinley Bear: 4th Place in Excel Beginner Free Skate, 4th Place in Compulsory Moves

Jacie Bear: 3rd Place in Excel Beginner Free Skate, 4th Place in Compulsory Moves

Peyton Brunner: 1st Place in Excel Beginner Free Skate, 2nd Place in Compulsory Moves, 3 rd Place in Showcase-Lyrical
