The Sacramento Kings have been a mess for the better part of the last two decades. They have not made the playoffs in 15 years and that streak doesn’t look like it will end anytime soon. Sactown is 18-30 on the 2021-22 NBA season and currently sits at the 12th seed in the West.

With the NBA trade deadline mere weeks away, the Kings have been involved in plenty of rumors. They’ve been connected to the Philadelphia 76ers (in a Ben Simmons trade), the Indiana Pacers (in a Domantas Sabonis trade), and will likely continue to find themselves in these rumors.

It has been reported that the Kings will make trade most of their veterans.

This includes the likes of Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, and Richaun Holmes. That makes total sense, as the Kings are a young team who should be looking to focus on their ongoing rebuild.

However, one of the most interesting rumors is that they could look to trade De’Aaron Fox. The young point guard hasn’t had the best year, but he’s still oozing with talent. Trading him would certainly qualify as a blockbuster.

Most of the teams rumored to be interested in Fox are young teams on the brink of competing. But what if a different team took a stab at it? Would the Orlando Magic want another elite young guard to put in their backcourt?
