A woman was hospitalized after she was beaten by two men during a violent robbery at a Santa Rosa pharmacy on Saturday.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:51 p.m. at the CVS at 2075 Mendoncino Avenue, police said in a release.
Two men allegedly jumped over the partition of the pharmacy counter and ordered one of the female employees to the front of the store, demanding cash from "several of the registers." They then ordered the same woman to the back of the store and demanded access to a safe. The employee was "not able to comply," and one of the suspects responded by violently assaulting her with his fists.
Her wounds caused her to require emergency medical treatment and she was transported to a local hospital for "non-life threatening" injuries.
Another employee was forced to give the suspects "several types of medication."
Both suspects were described by police as Black males, approximately 18-year-old and 5-foot-9. One was wearing a black and gray hooded jacket and black pants while the other donned a black hooded jacket and bleached blue jeans. They were each wearing masks.
Authorities said the men fled from the front of the store with cash and medication. They were last seen running towards Steele Lane. No vehicle appeared to be associated with them.
Police are asking for the public's help in locating the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call 707-543-3595 or submit an online tip here.
