Eternals: Harry Styles' Deleted Scene Finally Revealed

There is little doubt that fans were thrilled when Harry Styles showed up as Eros in the mid-credits scene in Eternals. However, it has since been confirmed that the One Direction singer was supposed to have a bigger role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film but the scene was ultimately cut from the theatrical release. So what exactly was Starfox's scene all about? Lia McHugh has shared interesting details about the deleted scene!

Lia McHugh had previously shared a photo that featured Harry Styles wearing the same costume as the rest of the Eternals in what would have been the opening sequence. In the theatrical cut, Eros does not appear despite the fact that Styles was on the same set. So what exactly happened to the scene? McHugh revealed to Inverse that although she got a photo with the musician, they didn't actually shoot a scene together.

"I actually didn't have a scene with him," McHugh said. She then shared more details about Styles' part.

"[His scene] was a scene that was cut. It was parallel to the very first scene of us arriving on Earth. It was an alternate ending that didn't end up working out," McHugh said. She went on to explain how she ended up with a photo with Harry Styles.

"We shot it on the same day [as our scene], because it was virtually the same. It was the same shot. They were just switching out characters," McHugh said.

It's unfortunate that Eros didn't get a bigger role in Eternals. However, that doesn't necessarily mean we won't see Harry Styles in the MCU again in the future. The Dunkirk actor could soon return as Starfox in a new project. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
